Directions
- from SFO:
- take 380 west to 280 south
- follow the directions for "from the north via 280" immediately below
- from the north via 280:
- Take 280 south to Edgewood
- go west (right; away from the freeway) on Edgewood for a few hundred yards until it ends at Canada Rd
- turn south (left) on Canada and go about a mile (back under the freeway) to the first stop sign, Jefferson
- turn east (left) on Jefferson and wind up the hill until you reach Revere
- turn north (left) on Revere but go only a hundred feet or so to Temescal
- turn northwest (left) on Temescal, go to the top of the hill; we are on the left.
- from the south via 280:
- Take 280 north to Farm Hill Blvd
- Take Farm Hill east 1 mile over the hill, past Canada College, to the first stop sign: Emerald Hill Road
- go north (left) on Emerald Hill 0.5 miles until it ends at Jefferson
- turn west (left) on Jefferson (uphill) 0.25 miles until you come to a five way stop
- continue on Jefferson thru the 5 way stop by taking the second street from your left (the only one that has dots marking the centerline)
- continue winding around on Jefferson 0.5 miles until you reach Revere (at the top of the hill)
- turn north (right) on Revere but go only a hundred feet or so to Temescal
- turn northwest (left) on Temescal, go to the top of the hill; we are on the left.
- alternate route from the south via 280:
- Take 280 north to Woodside Rd
- turn west (left, under the freeway) at the light at the bottom of the ramp
- proceed about a mile west into the tiny town of Woodside
- turn left (north) at the stop sign: Canada Rd
- proceed about 2 miles north on Canada (back underneath the freeway) until you reach Jefferson (2nd stop sign)
- turn east (right) on Jefferson and wind up the hill until you reach Revere
- turn north (left) on Revere but go only a hundred feet or so to Temescal
- turn northwest (left) on Temescal, go to the top of the hill; we are on the left.
- from the south via 101:
- Take the Woodside Rd exit
- go west and follow the signs to El Camino Real north (about 0.75 mile)
- go north on El Camino about 0.75 miles to Jefferson
- turn west (left) on Jefferson
- go 1.75 miles on Jefferson until you go around a big bend to the left and a stop light. At this point Jefferson turns off to the right (straight is Farm Hill Blvd).
- Stay on Jefferson and wind around uphill 1.25 miles until you come to a five-way stop
- continue on Jefferson thru the 5-way stop by taking the second street from your left (the only one that has dots marking the centerline)
- continue winding around on Jefferson 0.5 miles until you reach Revere (at the top of the hill)
- turn north (right) on Revere but go only a hundred feet or so to Temescal
- turn northwest (left) on Temescal, go to the top of the hill; we are on the left.
- from the north via 101:
- Take the Whipple exit
- go west until you reach El Camino Real
- turn south (left) on El Camino and go 0.75 miles to Jefferson
- turn west (right) on Jefferson
- go 1.75 miles on Jefferson until you go around a big bend to the left and a stop light. At this point Jefferson turns off to the right (straight is Farm Hill Blvd).
- Stay on Jefferson and wind around uphill 1.25 miles until you come to a five-way stop

(The Post Office for our section of Redwood City has changed to "Emerald Hills". But so long as you get the "94062" right you can use "Emerald Hills", "Redwood City", "Timbuctu" or just about anything else and the mail will get here (but email will get here sooner :-)

Wondering what "Temescal" means? So did I. Turns out it is the Mayan version of the sauna.
